    What about this post??

Sorry sawz.. I just want to let the operator know that this is not an English forum, about 75% of members and few moderators here are non native (including me). Implementing such rule will be really like bullying non native English speakers + It will also make moderators job more complicated. They are here to moderate a forum by checking spamming and all that not for checking their English grammatical or typo errors. Lol..

Why do you band someone with bad grammar?

I usually got pms, emails, IMs that "by looking at your post, Your english sux dude and you are a Article writer" (When I had a thread about article writing)

I reply to them "If you are good at something than never do it for free"

Why would I waste my profreading what i wrote?

This iz a Englich Speakingh phorum.

    You still understood!

I don't mind spelling or grammar mistakes since everyone makes them and you can still understand the sentence. What annoys me is when I'm unable to understand the sentence because it seems like the poster just threw together random words. Every user should read their posts before posting to see if they make sense.

Ok AaRGeE, are you saying you don't proofread because you don't care about it? Come on man, that's not cool. It's ok to make some errors because this is not your first language, but at least proofread it. It only takes a minute.

I mean, what is this: "This iz a Englich Speakingh phorum." -- Obviously on purpose? (I hope)

    I dont type that ..
Its was an example that you still understand watever i wrote

    I mean ..

Type > Hit submit > Leave.

I never read my posts twice .. I know what i have wrote .. but sometime some typos emerge .. thats obvious !

I don't agree with TS. It's not an issue.
I think moderators should delete threads having content that is not understandable, but not banning people.

Apparently, this has turned into a "correct anyone who makes a typo and supports the banning of users with bad english" thread. Correct me, someone; that was a run-on sentence.

I've got to admit that it's a pet peeve of mine on DP that the people I deal with don't speak good English, and in fact, I commend anyone who I deal with by PM if their language is above the normal level here. It is surely frustrating to see it in posts..

My issue is: People who post on topics just to bring up their post count, and aside from doing it blatantly, they contribute nonsense words thrown together in a random sentence. I.E:

If I was a mod, I'd be deleting/handing out infractions at an alarming rate for that stuff, it really irks me.

As if to prove my point: This is/was the first visible link of DP when I finished replying to this thread; "http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1520539#post12606424"..check out THAT grammar lol

The consequence of that will be a feedback forum full of "Why was my post deleted" and "the moderators are power hungry nazis".

Good God, that post makes me want to throw dirt in my eyes!

I do not agree that people who do not speak English well should be banned.

Fully agree with MhW and I am sure mods have much serious issues to handle than look through typos and grammar of each post.

sounds like op is saying kill all physically/mentally disabled persons on earth.

Mate in our day to day life we see various kind of people who are fat, thin, tall, short and blah blah. As we just cant say get out from country to them we also cant ask people with poor grammar to be banned here.

Moderators are not going to take the time to correct the spelling and grammar of members' threads, and we will only delete posts or threads that are posted in languages other than English.

If members, especially writers, cannot create their own professional-looking, well-written, sales threads in proper English (grammar, spelling, diction), it is unlikely that anyone with more than a basic comprehension of the English language will ever contact them.

There are many talented designers and programmers here who don't have good English but yet they contribute a lot to the forums.

I agree with premium scripts. It would be nice to have some kind of translating software on the site for the members from different areas. Broken English is frustrating for us all to decipher, especially when they are from our own country!

You cant ban members just cuz they don't speak good English(!) :) However, I think may be and just may be it could be beneficial for us all if there was a system to supervise on who can sell "Content" to other members around here(...)

No wonder the rest of the world hates americans. I generally type in web speak. Its just as bad as improper Engrish.

Culturally naive does not serve to some us up sometimes. Not to mention the fact the OP has 15 posts in a year. You may want to try and make some sort of contribution before you start complaining about things.

Actually the OP can be given a 1 point infraction as his post qualifies under - Running Up Post Count/Post Has No Value.
