Submitting to directories doesn't work very well when trying to increase your search engine rankings and organic traffic. You're better off doing link exchanges with related sites that already rank well, or writing some high quality content and submitting it to the social sites with hopes that some people will like it so much they will link to you.

1. Post in Well Known Forums, But Of Course No Spam.
2. Write The Content of Your Blog Full of Useful Info.
3. Link Exchanges with Other Webmasters.
4. Use Social Media, like FB or Twitter to Promote your Site.
5. Comment in Some Good Articles of Other Blogs

instead of just submitting your site to directories.

 

hey i ll suggest you to don't use any directory submission software ....... do directory submission manually by yourself or hire some one ....... manual submission will give you more back links other then any software and you can approach pure niche directories if u doing manually

 

i agree with the people above... i am also to seo but i didnt opted to use any auto submitter... i'd rather do it slowly but surely...

 

Auto-submitter softwares hands down. Better to submit manually and gradually.

 

i think u r fingers are the best softwares for this, dnt depend on it as iit is spoiling dir market and concentrations..

 

I have submitted directories manual and when I check my back links from a list of over 400 where I have submitted my web page it appears a number of 10-15 why is that? I have made all that work for nothing? I need another list of directories? please help me here.

 

i thnk u r submissions r not approved yet by the dirs to which u have submitted but wait, once they get aproved u will get good amount of backlinks, dnt lose heart try submiting to more and more as they r gona help u in long run.

 

I didn't agreed with the above listings, because many peoples using directory submitter, social bookmarking submitter and article submitter software and they get better results if you compare with the manual submission. And you can't link exchange with better sites, because they will not giving you the link because your site is new.

doing things manual is the best but if u want to use s/w i found only 1 free a-class s/w for directory submission is digixmas.com i never seen a s/wl like this in my 9 yrs net life free or paid. awesose one

 

I agree with this.. one of my friend used directory submission software for his blog.. google banned his blog

This is a meh answer.

It doesnt matter if you fill the fields with copy paste or with a tool or if you submit to 1000 directories in 1 day.

What matters is : relevant category, relevant title and description.
