The most reliable host is probably GoDaddy, there are cheaper ones out there, but GoDaddy is the best.

You can also try Hostmonster which I guess is of the same company with Bluehost.

It is very crucial to count server uptime before choosing any reliable web hosting provider. I wants to recommend you www.IWIHosting.com which provide 99% uptime and security techniques to protect form virus and hackers. I am currently using their dedicated hosting for my business. I have never face any problem of server downtime since 8 months. It is one of the most affordable and reliable hosting company that you can rely.

You're never going to get a consensus on this sort of thing because when you're talking about large hosting providers you're talking about a lot of servers. One server could be troublesome for them so people on that server will not recommend that provider. Another server things could be up for 2+ years and everyone is singing praises.

Lets not forget all the hidden agenda posts on forums. You have people recommend xyz host while having links to their affiliate code or coupon site. Then you have others who just straight up advertise their company.

Softlayer is best of all, most of hosting servers have datacenter in their facilities. But costly. Dreamhost, bluehost, slicehost are affordable for longer run.

If you are looking for cheap web hosting, search for things like '$1 web hosting', justhost, webhostingpad, etc.

Don't look for the best, just get a reliable one. I won't recommend GoDaddy: it's great registrar, but their hosting is quite poor. I would recommend HostGator (link in signature): it's definitely not the cheapest one ($10/month), but it is reliable and worth every penny they charge.

Can any one share his review about "justhost" and "A2hosting.com" ? My site developer is forcing me to take a2hosting. But upon searching on internet, I found justhost most recomended in reviews. More I search, more confused I get. Plz, help.
