    Hi guys,
Can you tell me please, are these php links any good for SEO? They don't include the target url at all. Examples -
http://www.uk-property-search.co.uk - the 'HIP' and the 'Utility Warehouse' ads on the right hand side.
http://www.landlordzone.co.uk - all the ads in the left and right hand columns.

    Many thanks,

These types of links are counted more as re-directs rather than backlinks. So, no these types of links are not good for SEO purposes as no "link juice" is given.

These links redirect to a website based on its ID value, neither human nor search engines know which website these links point to until the site loads, so from SEO point of view these links are of no value to a website, they can only bring in visitor traffic.

That's what I suspected. We were approached by a company offering us an ad on their site Home page in the same format as my examples, but they expected <a href...> links in return.
    Many thanks guys,
