Hi All I am making a flash site for a Bathroom Based Products company and the site has to be flash for all the interactivity etc under a single URL they are after... My question is they want to compete SEO wise and as for SEO and flash I am not too familiar with making flash as search engine friendly as possible... I am tempted to suggest a Flash front page with little bit of content and a huge button saying 'Click to Enter' but I just wanted to know if there's any techniques I could be using instead which will compensate? Thanks in Advance

This link below will help u i feel check, .Still i suggest have HTML pages website as other version and add that too ur web master central . http://code.google.com/p/swfobject/
@baranbuffet. according to my understanding though Google can crawl some contents within a flash files, but it is stiill an initial phase which results are often incorrect. So build a non flash content of a web page is always advisable. Or simply add some contents under the flash file.
ya I don't think google can fully read swf yet. Could you have it so most of the page is html with flash included in parts. That's good for fast loading, non flash users and seo.
hi..you would like to happy that now google crawl flash contents also , but you should also use alt tags and do a quality on page for your websites ,surely you will get the result.
Only indexing textual content in SWF files. Google will not index flash files which include images text e.g. flash buttons etc. Besides that Google still do not index FLV files, e.g. YouTube video files.
Google crawl, index and shows in the serp of falsh files. Just, you need to work little hard more than html. Include good content and links in the content of the flash file. Write seo friendly headers. Do promotion, surely you will get good position in serp. All the best...
The only thing I see all the time is that pure flash sites are still having a hard time to rank decently, no matter if G can read flash files or not.
The crawler does not discriminate different types of content found in a Flash file, including headers. Everything gets indexed, regardless if that is the actual text or a button label. Flash sites are still difficult to handle in terms of seo - this holds particularly true to all-flash sites. The only reliable solution right now is maintaining an alternative html version.

To create a search engine friendly Flash website is a challenging task for Flash developers. But here is another issue - find a perfect and convenient way to website management and content editing. In terms of it, you may take advantage of Flash content management systems with the help of which you may easily manage your website content. You may also integrate your own design into such cms. One of the affordable and advanced Flash CMSs nowadays is FlashMoto CMS. I tried a live demo and want to point out its great advantages: - SEO friendly - wysiwyg editor - image editor, etc. - you may use your own design - supports multiple languages and much more. Hope this info will help you.
