I think that must to be density of keywords for new web page around 4 %. After two, three monts can density increase on 7 %.

What kind of experiences do you have?

If it looks right to the human eye - it is right. You don't need a calculator, you can see if you've overdone it it.
You won't get penalised by a search engine for an extra 1% here or there.

The percent density of keywords isn't important as much as simply just looking at it and figuring it out. If you have useless keywords taking up 1/2 of the screen then its definitely too much however if you have like 10 keywords that matches the content on the page its on then its definitely OK.

I do think appearing natural is the most important thing. Keyword density is not so big these days. Just keeping away from keyword spamming and using variants of your main keywords would be OK. :)

4%~7% is good enough. Dont be too focus on the keyword density if your content is quality content

Right - now-a-days you can go byond 10% and it wont matter much. Key elemant here, as some wrote before, just dont over-use your KW and it'll be OK

Lots of tests have shown that keyword density has just about no impact at all whatsoever on your rankings, as long as your target keywords are somewhere in the content.

If you have a good understanding of what you're writing about, your keywords will appear naturally.

If you want specific pages to rank for keywords, instead focus on building links with the anchor text you optimized each page for.

Yeah, I agree with SEOHolicc. Write for your readers not the search engines.

You both need to read The Keyword Density of Nonsense by Dr. E. Garcia and Why Writing For Spiders is the Least Sticky Strategy of All by Alan Johnson (from Copyblogger.com).

Rashida, look at the post directly above yours. Keyword density is MEANINGLESS. It's WORTHLESS. Heck, the Zimbabwe Dollar is worth more than keyword density, and that currency was abolished because it wasn't worth anything!

Couldn't agree more - keyword density is unimportant. I have pages ranking on the first page of Google that only have the keyword mentioned once. Focus on quality and getting backlinks.
