    Greatly depends on the strength of its users. Except PHP, most freelancers don't like any other language and thats why it has separate subforum here. :)

    I check on the number of topics for RoR, but every time I check there really aren't enough topics to warrant spinning it into it's own area yet.

    Eh, even the PHP forum is not really used to discuss the language and application design. Most just use it to post their problems. There's not alot of knowledge to be gained from browsing that forum. Perhaps it would be better if, like sitepoint, there was a subforum where the more abstract application design and features could be discussed.
