What's the worst that can happen to you from selling/buying a MySpace profile? Sorry if this was already a topic, but I'm new here and only have a general idea.

myspace shutting the account down after they realise it has been SOLD...

but this is very rare these sales usually alwasy go under the radar...

its only when people sell them on sites like ebay and promote the url of their account ...this is when they get banned...

if its dont via IRC/forums/msn/aim u can usually never get banned if your smart about it...

Hm, but still...isn't it against Myspace's TOS?

Yes, but as far as I know that's all it's against.

Well, you can be hit by a car on the way to the bank to get the money out from the sale

But being against the TOS makes it illegal, and the account can and most likely will get shut down if you're caught.

Then again, most people don't have much respect for the Myspace TOS :p

Yeah, but they won't shut it down because they can't prove who sold it, all you would have to say is that it got phished, and the phisher sold it, but Myspace gets 100,000s of emails, they have an automatic email response thing, thire customer service is horrible, I havn't been able to reach a rep or employee for over a year now.

Ahhhh..... yes that is quite brilliant. I didn't even think of that, but yah if someone phished your account he could sell it because all you need is the email and password. The only thing is most people that get over 5,000 friends or so probably have enough functioning grey matter to not give out their password.

Hey, yeah. Good thinking. I'm not worried at all about selling now.

Well I just posted a thread selling mine because school is about to start and I don't need the distractions and I do need the money. I'll tell you how it goes...
