How to find people online in Google mail?

I wanted to know if there is a way to find people online in gmail who are not your friends.
Like in Yahoo chat rooms so that i can chat with them.

Well you can probably find people through orkut

 

Orkut is different. I think he is asking specifically for gmail users.

Actually gmail is not meant for fun. So entertainment parts are added later apart. So gmail IDs will not be available in any chat rooms.

But if you still want to misuse one, you could use orkut and have fun.

 

You can install gtalk at you desktop,
it will show you all the online users from your google email contact, and allowing you send instant messages link msm.

 

Yes orkut is little diffrent but then again its a part of google u can get to know people through orkut and get their gmail ids..

though again its little diffrent but it can fulfil the purpose he is trying to achieve

It would be better if u install gtalk .it ll show u all contacts who r online on all google related sites.

 

It s very difficult to do that. You should add them first.

 

Just invite them to join g-mail and add him to your chat account, you can chat and see his pic./photo.

 

add them to your buddylist, then you can see who is online
