Yes, it will be counted as more than one backlink. It's always best to have as many as possible. Wouldn't you rather have a sitewide link than a single link on one page?

If you get backlinks from different pages (probably the case you have in mind), each backlink is counted.
If you get several backlinks to the same page (let 's say your homepage) of your site from a single page, only the first backlink (and anchor text) on that page is counted.

Getting several counted backlinks from one site does not mean they have the same value than similar backlinks from different sites (instead of a single one).

    BTW
Quality of links (related page, context, amount of outgoing links, real PR of the linking page, appropriate anchor text...) is probably more important than amount of links

If you get more quality backlinks, you may (basically) be better ranked provided your competitors do not gain more quality backlinks. However, ranking depends on a lot of other factors.

This depends on your ranking AND the popularity of your keywords : even if you are ranked N°1, you may get only rare visitors if only a few people search your keywords .

I presume any site gets a PR (it may be PR 0) when google finds the site with its backlinks. However, Google releases PR from time to time only. So you have to wait for such an update. Anyway, it does not matter because the released PR is not the same as the PR actually used in the google algorithm for various reasons, incl. a time lag. In fact released PR is not important at all, only real ranking of your site is relevant.
