No one will give a real answer here because they do not want to give up their niche. I would start at something that has a gravity between 20 and 80 and makes at least 20 to 30 a sale. And find a product that you can relate to because its easier to sale it and you won't get bored.

There are many answers to this question.

Lower gravity niches and products might be easier to sell because of less competition.
But the higher gravity ones might sell pretty good because they have a big market.

Try different products and see what works best for you.

High Gravity need not necessarily result in more sales. There are cooked up gravity for crap products as well. The sugestion of 20 -80 gravity and a product in which one is interested is a good tip for a beginner. Further some one has asked whether the tip has worked for him(the respondent) personally. stop such stupid questions. Those who give replies here are experienced and they speak from their heart.Doubting Thomases can't thrive in this market. These are all my learnings from this very forum.

Some affiliates promote low gravity products ...but others prefer higher gravity.
That depends upon individual strategy to excel.

There is not product that's going to be easy to promote if you're a newbie. All you need is to get all the tools you need and information and start your campaigns.

Choosing high or low gravity is also based on your promotion efforts and you level of expertise.

Its between competition and selling factor. Some of the Low selling products makes you more money high gravity products. Usually competition is less and you need to find that gem among a lot of more than 300 products.(gravity between 30 and 100) Once you find this, you are on a roll.

High gravity mean competition is more and Like you have only 53 products currently active with 100+ gravity.
Here you are competing with potential skilled people who probably is more skilled than you are and so they may usually easily get an edge over you.

Certainly not. Very often the exact opposite - for many people it leads to fewer sales.

(And gravity doesn't measure sales, of course. And it doesn't measure conversion-rates either!).

    Yes; I think so, too.

I wish I'd known that right back when I started, instead of taking so long to work it out for myself.

(I would have said 20 - 50-ish actually, but this probably doesn't matter. To be honest, my best two products as an affiliate at the moment both have gravities in single figures).

So how many sales are you then making per month if they have single-digit gravity? When selling products on CB, you need to know the conversion rate, plain and simple. How can you know this? You can't unless you setup a page and see for yourself! Or, you could ask someone you know who is promoting the same product what their conversion is, but most people will not tell you if they're making money from it.

If you are using website and blog content to promote Clickbank products - my best sellers are in niches I care the most about - and write the most about. If you have a particular passion - then build a site around it and include a mixture of CB products that match your site.

This strategy is a low cost one, but it can be highly successful, if you hit on a rare topic with motivated visitors.

a lot of good advice here ...

i would say don't just look at the product's gravity though, look at the niche as a whole ... e.g. selling a product with 20 gravity in a niche that has 5 products with over 200 may be more difficult than a niche that has no products over 100 :)

also, have a look on google to check out potential other competition in your niche :)

    the key is research!
spend most of your time doing research, find keywords that have lots of searches and less competition, once you find the right proportion of the product researched, start promoting it.

this research process could take up to 2 months, but it is time well spent!
