Have I or have I not been....

    Hi,

Not sure if we have been sandboxed or not, (4little1s.com) but we have very few pages indexed based on the total number of pages on our site. Have asked to be resubmitted to Google 3 or so times over the last 6 months.

Have removed anything that might have caused us this problem like duplicate content, I had a couple of blogs on the go that I was told was not 'good' and ditched all my links in case they were being seen as dodgy.

Appreciate any comments / thoughts etc as to what we have done wrong as the only answer I get from Google is ' What do YOU think you have done ?' Which I really don't know !

(Yahoo and Bing are fine and am on P1 for my keywords)

    cheers,

I don't see your website can be in sandbox, as it has many pages still indexed. But, yes, there I found some issues that can be improved for better results:
    • Titles and descriptions are too long, make them short, meaningful and Keyword rich
    • Use CSS
    • Avoid scripts
    • There're pages where H1 tag has been used more than once, it's not good too!
    • Many of the images don't have alt tags

Well, this is an overview... hope it helps!

I was told that we were Sandboxed as if you type site:www.4little1s.com/* only 13 pages are indexed as opposed to site:www.4little1s.com which shows 692 pages indexed....does that make sense ?

    Any guidance appreciated

I don't know if we are "sandboxed" but the site went down shortly after we submitted, for several days, and we are having a real hard time getting updated (2 months later). It seems like google is waiting for us to prove ourselves now.

I have had my website vanish from google for periods upto 24hours and then suddenly appear again however this is clearly not the case for yourself. Could try joining google webmaster - creating a sitemap.xml and submitting it. Might get your whole website reindexed again within a few days.

Otherwise you can use google webmaster to at least ask for your site to be evaluated again for inclusion if they penalised it.

There is a code you can add to the search url to remove the sandbox - something like filter= and the a number. I just can't remember it exactly. Hopefully someone else will be able to add to this.

My understanding of the Sandbox is that all of your pages can be listed, you just have very little page rank and don't come up in searches.

sandbox is more of a rubberband effect from gathering a bunch of links (being seen as a new kid throwin in a sandbox) awaiting to see if you are allowed or will hold that ranking. You are not blacklisted since you still appear in the search results. Even if you are sandboxed it should not stop you from your link building efforts and overall promotion; it should only enhance it. Think of it as a plateau. You have to push through it and come out stronger on the other end.

If your web site go in send box in Google, also if you implement Google webmaster tool in your website then Google send a mail at google webmaster tool and second thing your keyword ranking disable in search.
