Hi everyone, I'm new in this internet business and currently reading so many articles to build my traffic.
I'm sorry if someone already ask this, but I haven't found the answer yet.
I have a page with a sales letter, selling a software and a blog about related niche. It's on the same domain. Which one should I focus to promote? the sales letter page or the blog? If I promote only 1 page, is the page rank will be the same with another page in my website?

id promote the sales page - after all thats what you after...sales... the blog may help drive in long tail search/ search fodder...

as long as the onsite SEO is upto scratch on the site, then yes page rank will flow around the site -- but its not all about page rank... the blog may be useful for self reciprocating links and thus if you power towards it then this could help you catch other related searches, essentially i would promote the sale page...

    Good Luck

You have stated that the sales page and the blog are under same domain. So, promote that domain. You will get more sales. Make sure you have some summary in attractive manner... then promote it, get traffic via SMO and SEO :)

You're going to wantto promote both.

Perhaps use the sale lettter as a landing page for AdWords, so your PPC advertising goes directly there. Then start a link building campaign for the blog. Occasionally, acquire backlinks directly to the sales letter if you think there is a greater chance at conversion (i.e. very targetted traffic)

I think you should promote both also, create social bookmars and articles for your blog and do PPC for your sales page

I'd promote both, but if time is an issues def the sales page first. I agree what selectsplat says.

Thanks all, currently I use the sales page as signature in forums and blog comments. I just use my blog for link exchange.

I thought Google doesn't allow us to use sales letter page as landing page?
