Hm, not sure, I mean windows vista had loads of issues to begin with, but as it went on it got better, however I believe it will be better and a success unlike vista was.
Not sure if it is enough to compel all the XP users to upgrade. But it is certainly much better then Vista.
Sorry, I don't trust it. Had Vista & had to downgrade - Photoshop didn't work. Stick with XP - safe, not sorry.
Hey there, I've been using 7 on my laptop since the BETA back in January and have loved it! While the BETA then was still pretty lackluster feature wise, they cleaned it up a lot and made it just a lot better in the RC - can't wait to get the final version I've not had the memory leak issues I had in vista and sluggishness I used to as well. One of my workstations hasn't had a restart in a good week or two and still feels perfectly fine (minus firefox needing a full restart once in a while due to its own issues). Francisco
I don't use any thing other than XP, it's the ease of not having to worry if Dreamweaver, Photoshop, etc. won't open because of the operating system. I don't use anything but Windows XP. Yugo,
Hey there, For what it's worth, I got CS4 of both of those on my laptop and have no issues with either of 'em I think the only 'problem' with it is I can't use any of the funky windows 7 tricks (side/side snapping, easy resizing, etc), but that's because adobe uses it's own window enclosure (the grey thing). Best of luck Francisco
Windows 7 use the same kernel. Its like the updated version of windows 7 and I heard positive reviews of it. So I guess it would be a hit.
I run vista ok it was shockingly bad at 1st but I beta tested so I kind of expected it. the beta crashed my computor at least every 30minuits but it's alright now though. most of the problems were ironed out. vista was rushed out. and anyone with the beta will agree that was painfully obvious. from what ive seen of 7 it looks pretty good. just hope they iron out the creases before it goes on sale.
i think windows 7 will very much batter then vista cause billy is such a talented business mind and he knows that how can come out form unsuccessful vista.
Microsoft came out with a utility called XP Mode that would allow Windows 7 to run legacy applications from XP. If it run like they claimed it would, then this should be better than Vista in terms of applications compatibility.
I've been using Win7 RC for over a month now. The RC is awesome for Win7. Never really had issues with Vista though, but I didn't start using Vista until months after it was released though. And even then it wasn't Vistas fault but instead other computer manufacturing companies such as Nvidia and ATI whom had incomplete and incompatible drivers to begin with.
vista worked fine for me, all my software worked including all CS4 and all my games and other development tools so I trust win7 to work perfectly.
