I was scammed here on DP for a $200 of money. So i filed a paypal claim. now scammer contacted me saying he needed some urgent money thats why he did so. he's requesting me to lift the claim as he showed me screenshots of paypal account which showed negative balance on his account. my transaction to him is in "held" state. what does this mean need some urgent help what to do. shall i lift dispute claim as he's saying he will be refunding me after funding his paypal account from his bank? his account is paypal verified
If you still within 45 days, then yes but keep the ID of your case as reffer in any claim you may open
Hi! DO NOT lift the claim. Good grief. Why would you lift the claim????? If you lift the claim..you will not be able to file another one about this. Worse still...that gives him the green light to scam someone else! No..do not lift the claim. Hopefully..they will close his account and never let him open another one ever again. Held means just that...he hasn't been paid yet perhaps....and quite possibly...he's done this before and Paypal has red flagged the account. A "hold" on your end means the money is still there..quite possibly. Do NOT close that dispute. >>>>>>You need to call Paypal and get the full story on what's going on. I did. >>>>He's already shown you he can't be trusted. Why give him another chance??? >>>>>>>>>>Robenso: Once a dispute has been closed..it can NEVER be opened again. Bryon
was it a digital products like ebooks, scripts or how did you scammed you for such huge amount of money !! if digital products , sorry your money will gone ! i've been scammed before here for adwords vouchers and never got my money back . paypal sux with digital prducts
Hi! No..no..no again. Read what's he has posted. The money is "held" in the sender's account. This means Paypal has not let this guy be paid. This means if this person does not cancel the dispute..there's a darn good chance the scammer's account will be closed and Paypal will release the money in the sender's account that is held. If the scammer had been paid..the transaction would not be held..it would be completed. Bryon
i don't think so , if it was for digital products and what if his account is empty !!!! what if the scammer has for example used my money and sold out for example hosting, domains ,ebooks ...ect and left his account empty how then i can recover my money i think peacfully is the best way to solve that problem in such huge amount of money
it was a website purchase I mean i bought a website that was never transferred to me. threads are on DP BST section. where he declared sold to me. then i have PMs from him which had paypal email ID
**** off , paypal is stupid if he posted a link to anything to download , they will close the claim and he wins never pay 1st for any digital products with paypal, and i'm sure such scammer leaves thier fu***in accouts empty so better keep on that ***** most of scammer runaway never contact maybe there is a chance goodluck
I would strongly advise in keeping the claim open, when proceeding with a closure of a claim paypal does say that the case can not be re opened. Just my 2 cents hope it helps One thing I should add as mentioned within the thead, paypal does offen favor the person receiving funds, best advise is to send a email and out line that a refund must be done within 24 hours other wise under laws of obtaining money on deception you would processed with legal action.
