My rankings have dropped a bit recenetly and traffic has dropped by about 50% as well, still no signs of picking up ... really can't wait for this caffeine update to be done with as I'm ranking quite well on that www2 Google page.
sorry i did not actually test out the top keywords whether is it in the 100s, 200s or 300s. as long as its not in the top 3 pages, i care less to research further.. patience is really a key factor here as long as you know you are not in the wrong.. all my pages are still indexed by google even during the google dance period though..
That's not necessarily the reason why people are losing their positions ... I've lost mine and am ranking quite high on the caffeine beta search.
I am killing it on the "new" google. My serps are so so so much better. I can't tell you how much better I rank, I killed my competition 300% I wish the new algo would come out today....
well, I have started building backlinks to one of my website and for the past 2 weeks now I haven't seen it ranking for any keywords that I targetted. I assumed its because of the google dance.
Yeah, probably won't happen until after the update ... none of my backlinking activities for the last month seem to be paying off in Google ... of course bing ... I've got the number one spot for a search term I've been going for. Not sure how that happened since I can never figure bing or yahoo out ... I always do better on google. The same page I'm ranking top for on Bing I seem to have been put into the supplemental index for google ... not sure why. And, as for my MAIN keyword, I was on page 7 in July, page 6 in August, page 5 in September then I was completely dropped just a week or two ago. Using the google sandbox, they have me on page 3 ... so hopefully thats a good sign.
Hi My main keyword listings have dropped from page 1 to page 4, 5 ,6. PR is still the same. I have noticed a massive movement in the listing on page 1. Also results on caffeine update are dramatically different to old results. The Google algorithm seems to be dramatically different. Websites listing well do not seem to be optimised with keyword content. Many of the well listing sites have very little text content. Is the focus on title tags and subpage content? It doesn't seem to like actual keyword content on home pages?
That's the same for my site. Even one of my site is ranked #1 for very competitive keyword. I am excited.
My serps (the KWs I control) suffered a slight decrease but strange enough, SE traffic is rising on a slow but steady pace.
The same thing is discussed on the following thread: Google Update (Modern day dance) seems to be happening right now http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1540288
High traffic keywords take even months to be ranked. it's now over six months of my continuous link building I could have position in 4th page yet. However, it's quite easy to target less frequent keywords ranked in few days.
