Ok guys I fixed the homepage so now when you click on things like images, mp3, video etc it tells you where you are at...look at www.surch.com and see what you think.... is it clearer now for you all to see what link you are on???
Looking good! I love that people search thing too, very cool sir. EDIT: I was just doing the people search, it seems the search results cut off after five pages. Will you be expanding it to the full listings or will it stay at a five page limit?
thanks naples. glad you like it...so when you are on the homepage and you click on mp3 its noticable enough that you are now preforming an mp3 surch? as to teh peoples surch....Im changing that this weekend too. thanks chetan.
not yet... I havent really looked into digg or stumble yet... need to resurch that a little... you familiar with it? PM me about that....So far its just word of mouth which is nuts since I think I ranked 37K on alexa today with more pageviews per user than google... LOL
Nice changes Surch, it's a lot better. What do you think of this one : Make the blue button in the ring behave like a "search button". I mean, people enter a query in the box, and after, they hit the 'image" or "audio" button. And they get results. If the query box is empty, nothing happen. I'm not sure but I think quite many people must behave this way, finding it intuitive. Just an idea, maybe it's a silly one
yeah I can do that no problem. I think Im going to quickly do a page about the features of surch....lol...
Hey guys, more stuff for you to test. Surch is in the next week launching our "adsense type" api and xml feed so you can have our results feed as well as the PPC feed on your site/directory/engine/forum etc... We will update you later. -Surchin
I am generally very impressed. It appears that the results are more similar to Yahoo! than Google. I like the preview feature. Lots of nice features.
thanks. they are a combination of results sorted and cluster based on relevance from over 15 databases (engines)...
Hey I just realized that Surch was on digg.com so go here and digg it! http://digg.com/tech_news/Surch
I added Surch to a site similar to digg.com. It's called techtagg.com. You can see it here. As of 3:10pm it's in the first position. http://www.techtagg.com/
jason, Thanks! everyone getting some traction on the PPC give-away? Im updating the api for testing very soon... sorry for the delay.
Hi guys! ok here is the start of whats to come!!!!!!! http://www.surch.com/cgi-bin/surch/surch.cgi?sttname=_surch_lab let me know what you think
