Year to Year since the Meltdown, How is adsense doing?

September 2008 was when the economic meltdown began. And that was the month I saw my adsense revenues dip, followed by even more worse months.

Now that September, 2009 is over, I now have year to year numbers to compare.

Has Adsense rebounded for me - not yet! My adsense revenue is down 18% from what it was last year.While I see some day to day improvement, overall I have not gotten back to the revenues I had before the meltdown.

Are you doing better than you did a year ago?

My adsense earning shows a definite improvement on a year to year basis which could be attributed more to the hard work that defied the recession.

 

Hard times often forces one to work harder and smarter. That and a little luck can overcome almost any situation. I congratulate you.

I believe my situation would be much worse if, I too, had not added to and improved my "adsense Empire." Still some of my most productive sites in year's past have not rebounded - I guess I haven't figured out the cure for them yet. It is frustrating to work so hard and not even get back to normal...

i think we should all quit using adsense because based on the whiners that complain and bitch in here everyday, they are not earning anything!

 

I am not complaining. I think there is value in comparing numbers, especially on a year to year basis. I would like to get a sense of how adsense revenues are doing overall. This type of information provides a measuring stick for how my business model is working.

If the majority of posters here find that this September is better than last year, than that provides feedback which perhaps indicates that I may need to change things.

If the majority of responses to this questions indicate that their revenues are still down compared to last year, it indicates that my personal situation is still reflecting the overall economy.

I am still interested... Was September 2009 better or worse than September 2008 and how much was your percentage of loss or gain?

 

earnings itself are much higher now but because so is my traffic, last september $1200 this september $17,000.... i guess what would maybe make sense is using say cpc? cpc has been getting alot higher in the last few months, yes it was bad right after sept 08 up until about july 09, but august and sept of 09 ive had some great cpc higher then ever and i think everything is definetly back to what it was on 08 or better

 

My Adsense is also showing some positive results
