What is best based on your experience? In regards to ease of use, available plugins / add-ons? I guess i would say between joomla and wordpress?
What is best for CMS? I think your post is confusing and hard to understand what you are really asking.
for me Wordrpess is good if you want only blog. Drupal is good if you have some knowladge and expirience in coding and Joomla is good if you don't have too much skill and you want to start your site after 5 minutes. Good looking site with less work.
Hi, I was just looking around for an asp.net based cms and found this post. Thanks Trend Micro Software
I use wordpress for content sites and get simple cms for smaller sites, but Wordpress can be a chore to use, they still need to include some features in the core that are just not there and really really should be.
I use Joomla and WordPress I like them both. Different purposes. Joomla makes it much easier to manipulate posts. WordPress plugins are more available for free, and has a much better commenting system. If you are making a large site over 100 pages and you have certain content you want to keep pushed forward then go with Joomla, if your needs are smaller and you don't mind posts being archived then go for WordPress. I also find it's easier to keep WordPress up to date.
Yeah it's garbage all right only stupid people like this would use Joomla http://www.mansfieldoil.com/ http://www.danone.com/?lang=en http://porsche.com.br/ Those idiots at Porsche ... what do they know? It must be garbage.
Well, it all depends on what you need. If you are looking for a CMS for a very small site take a look at The Clesto CMS which I made myself.
Over years I used some CMS for longer time: updating sites from Mambo to Joomla, later was transition to WordPress (good blog tool, but bad indexing for major search engines, so need for additional news coding was present). For ~3 years I'm using DataLife Engine, (DLE), so have no need in any other CMS. Current version is 8.2, if anyone expierences any problems with Russian, just write PM, I'll translate. Earlier I was involved in sPaiz-Nuke CMS and it's later successor D2C-Nuke support; both systems was quite famous in russian part of internet, freeware, and duo died due to cease of developing (authors of both was a students and had enough of their own problems RL). As for Drupal, an obstacle is high memory requirements even for basic package, it scarries large % part of clients. P.S.: sorry for link absence, I'm too new (restrictions apply).
Joomla has tons of plugins but it's not as easy to use as Wordpress. Drupal offers great flexibility if you know php. My vote goes to wordpress.
For "ease of use" I definitely choose wordpress But for more advance cms, many people I know use drupal for their site
the reason why i was using drupal because it has URL alias plugin so that we can generate search engine friendly URLs quickly ...do any other cms has same?
