I run a business here in the seattle washington area and some of my customers want to pay via credit card... What would work best to charge peoples credit cards? Does paypal do it? anyone have any suggestions? I dont need the machine that swipes cards, just something that i can type in the numbers online...
i would offer several choices for people. the four most common is paypal, google checkout, amazon checkout and regular credit card.
I've just started using Plimus for that, and so far, I'm satisfied. They also offer some help in the e-commerce platform setup.
I read some reviews that with charge.com theres a contract that you have to sign for 2 years plus a bunch of other fees and the support sucks? true?
Your best bet is to get a virtual terminal, They allow you to input customer credit card numbers online for processing.
Most us merchant account providers are going to require a term commitment. Authorize.net who is a payment gateway and not a processor will have one as well with their merchant services.
