I am just starting with cj. I want to know what products convert. I do not want to waste my time promoting a niche in cj and end up making no sales. Please can anyone help me with this.

If anyone was making money with a product that converts well and they posted that product here....

    Think about it.

Ironic how you have that link in your sig.

I'm making money from CJ but as if I'll tell you what I'm promoting. Same with everyone else.

Just look around. You can make money from tons of merchants in CJ but you need to put in the work.

I think there is another recent thread here that asks a similar thing. I actually said what converts well for me and makes me money. I don't need to keep posting it so I suggest you search.

I would do a niche you know something about and then find advertisers that cater to that niche...that works well with CJ or any network...at least IMO.

You are going to have to do the basic: select a niche, do keyword research and get cracking!!! No one can look at a product and tell if it will be profitable, without market research. It a numbers game. Select something with low competition (SEOC of 150,000 or less) and with a monthly search traffic of at least 3000 (100 searches a day). It sounds like you don't have the basic IM skill set.

    That's some good advice.

And if you don't understand what he's saying it means you need to start doing some research to get the basic IM skill set. It's all about doing the work and fighting through it. There is no 'converting niche' if you don't do the work.

In CJ you can easily find the advertisers performing well on the network, and classify them with highest EPC Earnings per Click, they also give stars to the advertisers trusted more by CJ, only advertise three or more stars advertisers I would say if you want to play safe . Once you found the niche you want to focus I would recommend creating a niche site around the highest amount of visitors for a well sought after keyword & giving your story about how you used it. Work with one or maximum two advertisers in the beginning and learn how to create a funnel to attrack new customers.
Often I have seen I was automatically refused to promote advertisers based on the country I live (in my case it's Belgum) so if you live in the USA you have an advantage.

that is probably one of the best answers i have read over the past decade. especially the last part...:D

anyway, the good thing about CJ is that they have ads for ANY niche, u just need to match your visitors to their most targetted potential interest. run a poll on ur site to see what age groups and interests you are dealing with.

I suggest doing small niches, nothing too expensive. Maybe a hobby such as fishing, fish tank stuff, or rc stuff.

Hi, the best way to find converting niches is to go find what's selling either on Google Trends or via Ebay.

Then find a merchant that offers products similar to what's hot in Google Trends / Ebay and type one of the products into Google. See how many results come back for that search, if it's a small number, build an affiliate store / website for that product and do SEO to get visitors or use something like greyhatsoftware.com / fantomaster

    Regards

CJ will tell you what's converting, that's the beauty of CJ. Just look at the Network Earnings and EPC values. Network Earnings tells you how well they're performing network wide. The EPC tells you how money money other people are making per 1000 displays.

How much YOU can make depends on how you're promoting, and how well you're promoting the products.

Those number aren't really accurate because you don't have to place the pixel but they do give an estimate of what merchants are performing good.

I recommend using some cmpetitive PPc spy tool and finding what ads have longetivity, then clone, improve and profit.

I don't think ALL the products in CJ are converting but picking a merchant that YOU KNOW makes money and promoting them will bring you a long way.
