I've recently begun to really commit to my blog. And in order to make it thrive, I need to market it! Can anybody give me a simple, step-by-step process to market my blog?

    Blog: YouthBusinessBlog.com
Market: Teens, Young Adults, Generally Young People
Willing to Spend: I'd like to do it for free, but if absolutely necessary, I'd go for about $50.

    Example:

    1) Write Content
    2) Write Daily on Digital Point in related forums
    3) Rent a 125 x 125 banner space
    4) etc...

well the best way is to have a easy and interesting to read blog.

next you will need to submit it blog directories and also a huge help is to comment on other peoples blogs this creates links and will increase your traffic

You may need some backlinks to your blog. Submitted articles to social web sites like Hubpages and squidoo will help with it.

    @Logan_Graham

I would not go into writting blogs with the expectation of making lots of money, or any money at that.

Most of the top bloggers started out because they love to write and share their ideas and feelings.

But if you are serious, here are a few steps that you can take to help your blog become for profitable.

1.) Pick a topic you love - clearly you already have this so good.
2.) Start writting - I know this may seem to be a DUH but most bloggers quit after they see little or no visits to there website. If you are not a good writter you can always hire a writter just speak to the writter about what you wish to cover. This will cost you thou, around 10 - 25 USD per article.

I would not consider PPC when you first start out but I would try to stumbling, digging, and posting on forums related to your blog. Also Yahoo answers is a really good way to market blogs, since blogs are generally of high value to individuals that are seeking information.

Just remember to stay focus and try to release a new blog once a day, or week. Not only will this keep search engines happy but your visitors as well.

Link building is crucial to a sucessful blog well any site really. However, although frowned upon you can buy links for cheap and it will help you with your SEO ranking. I would not, now I repeat I WOULD NOT buy excesive links that far surpass your competitors. You want to have a slow process of gaining links 0 - 5 links a day is golden.
Also you must remember that if your content is worth linking to you will gain links without having to purchase them.

Another thing to help with your blog is to write articles and then sumbit the articles to top article engines, not only will this give you a backlink to your site but it will also drive traffic to your site if you article is good enough.

Buying a banner is also a good step, but the banner should not be a CPM banner or CPC but rather a time slot, eg.) 1 Week, or a Month, or Even a Year.

( Remember I am referring to starting off, not a blog that is currently bringing you income )

    Having advertisments on your site.

You can, But I would not add ads to your blog until you start recieving traffic. Why? Because if your blog is not known then most people would just seem the ads and think it was spam and leave. Now I'm not telling you that will always be the case. I'm telling you to gain visitors, and repeat visitors then start experiminting with advertisments.

Work with other bloggers as well. Even if it doesn't directly releate to your blog you can have other bloggers write articles about your blog.

    Final Thought

Just make a blog because you love it. Not for the fame, money, or glory but just for the statisfaction of knowing that you are talking about stuff you love. If you love something it makes things easier, don't write about something you hate or know little or nothing about. Until next time, take care of yourself and each other

    Best of Luck Buddy

    P.S

Sorry I didn't give you step by step instructions.

I'm writing for the sake of writing, literally. Really, I just wanted to write. So I chose a topic I like, and I stuck with it - I know better than to go in for something I love just for the money. I'm getting anywhere between 20 - 40 uniques a day now. How is that for a 3 month old blog?

And thanks for that insightful reply, FCM.

    1) Ezine Articles
    2) Hub Pages/Squidoo
    3) Relevant business forums
    4) Dofollow business blogs (via dofollow blog directories)
    5) Exchange relevant links in your business niche

The key with each of these is leaving good anchor text, which you would like to rank well for in Google.:D

Create some videos too - videos are loved by SEs and you can convert your blog content to videos quite easily.
