Hi, I've had my blog http://aullah.com for a month now. I'm struggling to figure which keywords to target, I would appreciate if someone could please help me figure out which keywords I should target. I'm getting pretty decent traffic for my first month, average 37.27 visits a day. Many thanks.
What's your blog about? What kind of people do you want at your page? What would their interests be? Don't say "everybody" because every site needs its niche to get qualified traffic.
On my blog I post Technology News Opinions, Top 10 & How to articles and sometimes clothing reviews. Anyone who would be interested in those type of posts I make. Interested in Technology, Top 10 articles, clothing, on my Top 10 & How to I've posted stuff like: Top 10 Ways to Avoid Getting Ripped Off When Buying How to Get Quality Items at Bargain Prices Top 10 Ways to Increase Your Chances of Passing an Exam How to Choose a Decent Keyring Top 10 Tips to Make Sure You’re Not Late That's the part I'm struggling on, as I'm unsure.
but then again the exam part can be alittle weird, try directing it towards students and use that as a keyword that'll be effective cause students want to know that stuff
target keywords with 100 searchs a day or more ... and build links around as much keywrds like this as possible and by time you will start getting some decnt trrafic
Do you have tracking on your page? Because if you already have tracking up you're getting the data and you will KNOW which keywords you should be targetting. That's the beauty of organic traffic as it tells you the keywords to use for your site.
Your blog looks excellent, nicely tagged and good content. Which explains why you're getting hits. You might try running descriptive phrases of planned articles through Google. The phrase should be something that people would use when searching for the data. The phrase must be typed into the Google search engine in quotes. This will return only those sites or advertisers using that exact phrase. You're looking for a phrase that returns a small number of websites, say a few hundred, and has some, but not a lot, of advertising. Then use that phrase in your article and title. This won't necessarily get you a lot of traffic, but it will get you very targeted traffic.
Hmm... a tech news blog. Rather than focusing on just keywords that are related to technology news, try targeting ones related to the products and technologies you're writing about. Given that these are all news-related, try focusing on the ones that are showing up in Google Trends as well as those that are currently trending on Twitter. I don't know how strong your site's profile is in the search engines (I'm not going to look that deeply for free), but if you know how to properly identify which keywords are the most competitive (hint: PageRank, the number of pages indexed, and so forth for the most part have nothing to do with it), you should be fine. Just concentrate on the ones with the highest search volumes and use that as a starting point to identify keywords that nobody (or only a handful of sites) is actively targeting.
JRC5701 and Dan Schulz's I really appreciate your advice I'll try my best to work on those . I'm currently using Techmeme to get the hottest tech stories and then provide my opinions on those.
