How successful Twitter and Facebook for traffic and ranking concern ? How Twitter and Facebook helps to improve number of visitors on sites?

 

you can give the attractive advertisement with a link redirected to your site. on face book you can also create your own business page.

 

Success depends upon the path you adopt for exposing your contents. Both are good to attract visitors only if you already have significant number of friends on Facebook or followers on Twitter. If not then you should try to get them first by regular participating.

 

I agree with WebDev007. It CAN be super effective but it's the whole chicken and egg thing. You must have something to write about / follow before people will partake.

When you have a large number of freinds or followers and post quality comments with a link to your site, the traffic will come.

You're not trying to benefit DIRECTLY from twitter in terms of SEO. You want to get followers and than post a link to your site. What will happen (hopefully)

1) people will visit site and like what they see or read (traffic)
2a) re-twitter it (traffic)
or
2b) link from there site to your site (SEO)

The more visitors and the better the content the more likely this will happen.

 

We have had mixed results with Twitter (not sure I could run a ROI on it just at the moment) but has been very useful for getting new suppliers on board.

Generally putting a hook out there and then linking back to the site has worked and certainly Google Analytics shows peaks in traffic for us via Twitter

twitter is another amazing concept. microbloging is new thing... and in twitter if you have large number of followers then u can get large number of visitors in ur tweets and can easily get lot of business . I am not sure but i heard that DELL has used twitter for marketing of their business.
