Im starting out a pay peer tutoring site with estimates that 1/100 students who view my site will sign up. I want 10 new members a day, thus at a rate of 1/100 conversion i would need 1000 views a day. I am hiring a web advertising/SEO professional to manage my site, but the problem is, after i hire him, i will have $0 for advertising. I am going to get him to try and spread word of my site via free methods, and SEO. Can i realistically expect him to be able to get me 1000 unique views from students per day? Or is that hoping too much?
I think your expectation is reasonable, if not a little low. Good luck mate and do update us on how it goes.
it all depends on how hard/ much you're willing to work. I think it's reasonable if you're willing to put the time and effort into promoting it!
Nobody is going to sign up if nobody is signed up. I know that sounds weird. So make sure you have a lot of members BEFORE you market a huge campaign.
Not sure how much you pay him and how good he is. However, 1000 UV per day is not hard for the SEO company, it is reasonable.
again depends on the person you hired. how did you find them? what is there reputation? how long have they been doing it? do they have other customers site you can check out for yourself?
Your goals are resonable, whats the point of doing the work if your goal is to low to make any money?
I think you require some strong SEO professionals to accomplish such goals. These are pretty hard to achieve initially. Once you have your site set then you may get some better results.
u need to pay him monthly some amount for seo, as he is promoting your site at free places, so he might have some exp. doing that for 30 days.
Hi! I agree..you must pay him. I can't think of one decent SEO person that works for free..even at the beginning. I think you must give it time as well...these things do take time. Bryon
also, whats the quality of your site like? Do you have a good sign up process, have you tested it with friends or aquaintances? Has your site been well constructed? Would any budget you have be better spent on any design changes or onsite SEO. It may be that with a slick sign up process, you will get 10% conversion rate, so only need 100 visitors to generate the same revenue. If your budget is that tight, then don't outsource your SEO. To start off with, do it yourself, theres a wealth of info out there, dedicate 2 -3 hours a day in the evening marketing your site yourself.
Good, you can have a try to see whether it's too high or not.Maybe the guy the hire is so competent that can help you make it.This is your goal, and try to work hard for it.When you think you can't make it after a period of time, make a adjust then.Good luck.
You can learn SEO using Webceo, and then implement what you learnt with SENUKE. They have free trial versions.
If you're willing to create an affiliate program and offer your JV partners a commission for sales, you could generate a lot of new clients that way. A lot of affiliates like promoting tutorial type sites.
I think your goals are attainable, but you might experience a slow start obviously...good luck with the venture, and DO NOT be afraid to re-evaluate what the SEO person is doing. Sometimes some tweaking will need to be done to hit your goals. Good luck!!!
Yeah that's right! Its a human nature that everybody like to be the first one in making money but not the vice versa, i.e spending money.
1% conversion would be somewhat higher as expectation. even if you get 1 conversion out of 1000 visits I think that would be good. success for this kind of website would lot depend on how and where you market it.
