Problem is this is not a grdual slow down. The clicks have suddenly stopped. Adense i somethig that actually did work on my sites so I am a little concerned here

No, i got number of clicks as normal. How many traffic you are getting? and what is your major traffic source?
Everything is normal for me, but I had a similar problem last week. I experienced a delay of posting clicks to my account for several hours, then several were posted at once. Maybe you'll see the same...?
if it's not a gradual slow down, then you should analyze your traffic, how many you get per day, where they come from, etc
The site has about 5,000 uniques a day with 70% of the traffic from the search engines. Was averaging $40 a day with it.
My eCPM tends to drop on Fridays but my impressions and clickthroughs are consistent day to day. It's hard to judge these things if you do not run Adsense across a large number of sites.
