If I really need an answer Google is great, but, I found out when I want a lot of options msn is great. Every few weeks I check msn and new sites are popping up in the top 10. It gives variety. Of course the big G is my favorite......
I guess most people don't change their search engine frequently because it's their habbit now. For me, I always use big G because I have its tools bar installed on my IE. Just a bad habbit.
Google isn't all that predictable for me as far as getting sites indexed. Sometimes I will use the exact same methods for several different sites and some will get indexed fully and others won't get indexed at all. Go figure!
You're right G is almost becoming too predictable because the formula is very easy. If you have a good site then your site will be on top of the SERP. While in MSN some of them are all crap especially Yahoo. Google is still the best. They will give you relevant results.
well wen i ask someone abt something they r always like Google it man u will find something....never heared MSN it or Yahoo it :d
Google tends to like older, established sites with lots of depth. MSN and Yahoo like new sites with simple structure. As sites grow and become more mature they tend to fall down in MSN and Yahoo, and rise in Google.
Well, they made it possible. Look at ol' billy, he's wearing the same sweater he wore at CES. And look at the guy in the very left, he looks like Ray Romano.
Variety doesn't generally make good relevant search results, but then neither does lack of variety. As long as relevant quality sites are being returned then the search engines are doing their job.
One of my sites is outranked by a domain parking page in MSN (they're 2nd and 3rd and I'm 6th and 7th). That's some variety, alright.
That's probably just down to the number of links to it. Buy a couple of spammy sitewides and you'll outrank it. Yep, MSN is 'that' good.
