How to get top ranking in yahoo?

Like people have been saying, just get a lot backlinks and unique content and you should do well.
I've also heard that searchwarp is loved by yahoo.

 

I think this answer is spot on the money.

I have a programming tutorial website. It ranks #1 in yahoo for "winsock tutorials" and ~#5 in Google.

There has been a fair bit of stuffing for the term winsock sitewide (not intentionally), due to the nature of the site. This seems to inadvertantly worked out well for me so it seems.

I have other sites optimised more around 3% keyword density that go ok in Google but are extremely hard to find in yahoo.

From the whole thread one point I guess that will work well with Yahoo is little bit of keyword stubbing. One more thing I would like to add is Yahoo looks for backlinks one. It doesn't matter whether the site is relevant or not..

 

Target keywords on the page and enough backlinks

 

You need a good keyoword combination on your meta tag.
Avoid too popular keywords since it's useless and you can't beat major big websites

I think Backlinks also. Google indexes a little faster too IMO. I have had some sites with little content do well on yahoo and no where on Google. Now quite some time went by 4-5 months before yahoo picked these sites up.

 

Try to have quality content, and have more back links focusing on your keyword as an anchor text. It is the one of the way to promote it in yahoo.

I have a real estate website ranked perfect in google.com but in yahoo.com my position is in nowhere. On yahoo.de in germany on the first position for my keys. Now i thought the problem was, that my domain ist hostet in germany. But isnt!! The problem is that my website got a lot good links from some of my german websites. I think optimation for yahoo is most onpage. Yahoo like keyword domains . Keyword in title,Keyword at the first words in keyword.
Keyword close to the body tag on the website and the same on the end.
For backlinks better from the country where you like to have a good position.

 

Based on my observations over the past 3-4 months, Yahoo's search results are all over the place. No rhyme or reason. Having keywords in the domain name seems to be a major factor in Yahoo, at least for now.

 

Get quality back links as well as add your keywords on content in correct ratio. Good luck.

Yahoo like keys in domain but nis nescassary but helps.
And yahoo optimation is onpage !
The problem is when you are contentmanagement user you can not change for example the that the heading with your case is clso to the body tag.
