I've had/got a few D-Link G604Ts. They're nothing special, but they're cheap enough, and they seem to work (until they get hit by lightning).

Not sure what it's called in India... I think it might be :
I'm kinda disappointed that mine doesn't have "power dying gasp" written on the box.

Haha :p I've got 2 G604Ts that have been zapped - they're only good for routers now. They can't connect to the net anymore.

I've got a surge protector on my phone line now, so hopefully that's the last I'll hear from Mr. Zappy :)

You can shop at eBay India. Look for positive feedback and nearest location of the buyer.

I have owned 15 routers and the only one I was ever satisfied with was the airport express. It was easy and FAST. :)

Go for Linksys. I have never encountered problems with them before...

Linksys is good. As our institute (which provides MCSE, CCNA certification courses uses it). You can use I-Ball as an exception.

New technology will soon be available where you will not need a router. It's called wifidirect. Sony calls the technology "transfer jet". I've always liked my Linksys routers.

Get an old linksys and install DD-WRT on it. Get a WRT54G that is v4 preferably. Check out Google and Wikipedia for DD-WRT, it is a custom firmware for linksys.
