There are very few things in life more intolerable than incompetence. Worse though, is institutional incompetence. Individual incompetence is forgiveable, some people are born stupid and they will die stupid. Institutions, however, can grow and learn and adapt almost infinitely -- at least theoretically. Institutional incompetence occurs when an organization is designed such that mediocrity is defined as SOP (Standard Operating Procedure). Institutional incompetence is when incompetence is no longer a problem, it's a way of doing business. Worse than even that is when incompetence is combined with arrogance. In those organizations, a blind eye is turned to the need for change and improvement. There is no need to make anything better because the people involved have fooled themselves into believing that they are performing better than they really are. Both Google and Microsoft exhibit these traits. Both organizations are creating shoddy products and foisting them on an unsuspecting public. Both companies are doing so well financially that they have no real interest in improving quality. The staff members say "Why should we improve? Look at our stock price!" Microsoft ships software which barely works until the second Service Pack is released. Google continually deploys search algorithms with no effective laboratory testing. Both organizations pass the costs of their lack of quality on to their customers. Who do you hate more? Microsoft or Google? Which bothers you more, the constant crashing of your OS and office productivity tools, or the endless stream of garbage that you see in your web search results?
Considering that my windows works fine and has only been reloaded once in the last year.. I'm going with hating Google most
I personally worry more about Google, privacy and all that, but that doesn't make me hate them; I have a choice. Professionally I worry more about Microsoft, almost to the extent of hating them. In that department there's much less choice. If you run XP because the software you use isn't as readily available on other OSes you can't easily switch but you do get the hassle of insecure systems which are a ticking time bomb in as far as it could cost your business a lot of money when you get hacked etc.
if Google release Google Operating System and it is also there to annoy me then i would hate google as well!
ewll, i woulndt running win XP if i hate microsoft. and i wouldnt find digital point if it wasnt with uncle Google. so its hard to decide is there any choice on the poll " cant decide "
Microsoft.. When uninstalling programs they leave a lot of junk in your computer, and it gets slower and slower. The only solution is to reinstall Windows. I hate that.
Microsoft developed Windows in a way that you'll end up with a cluttered system if you install and uninstall a lot of software. That's why I shouldn't hate Microsoft? I don't get it.
Why hate microsoft? There was a time when their software was bad but nowadays my windows box just keeps on ticking. Mostly it's third party software creating problems. Install a good external firewall and use some common sense and you'll stay clear of threats. Windows is a OS, not a nanny. Google on the other hand (well, they do pay for my rent) but they're going to go down in flames sooner or later when their stockholders get greedier by the day.
Microsoft wins for me. Although if this video were true I might like them more. Microsoft Shares Your Pain
