My site is not new at all. The domain was registered back in December 2005. I kept on updating the site a lot and used to chang the whole look, feel and layout though until I finally found a place where I could feel satisfied and right after that, I started to see traffic coming in from MSN. A lot of traffic actually and it stayed there for 2 months and now... :s

Lucky! Lucky! Luckyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yahoo is HATING ME for some strange, strange reason. I am no where to be found on ANY keyword on yahoo. Only the ones one would never search for lol but Congratulations to you! I hope you stay there for a long time :)

Blogtoprofit: But why? I am already in the index! Just got pushed way back on the search results.

To experts: After I lost my position on the 1st and 2nd page, I dropped to position number 315 for my major keyword. Now I am on 265 (26th page). Does this mean my site is gona crawl up to top positions again?

I am writing fresh content daily yeah. I think they changed the algo a bit. Still my site is on 24th and 25th page! I am getting hits from Yahoo but I can't figure from which keyword. Tried every keyword using the AwStats. Does anyone know any tool which could tell us the very keyword we are ranking well?

and I am one of them, I went from being #3 for my top keyword, dropping to page 4 for 1 1/2 weeks, and then back up to #3 for my top keyword, and I stand at #3.

oddly enough, I have been picked up by Yahoo! for another REALLY good keyword, and now I stand at #2 for that keyword.

let me remind you that the site I speak of is a .HTML site.

I assume the site you speak of is the one in your signature, correct?
    cool site.

certainly not trying to make you jealous, it's just a example of the power that .HTML sites still hold in regards to SEO.

Yup, that's the site in question. Thank you for visiting and thanks for the compliment :) Is there any difference between pure .htm pages and maipulated php-htm pages? Don't the search engines treat them equally? I thought they did :s

Jaree lol, I am loosing some money here :s Hard to sleep when you know that. It's been more than 2 weeks now since I dropped and I read on this and different forums that if a site is to bounce back, it takes around a week and then u r back on the track. In my case, that's not happening :s

There really is very little you can do, in regards to SEO, beyond what is already known, i.e, good keywords, meta, lots of content, back links, etc.
It's seems like you either do this stuff and get it or you don't.

As far as I know there is no difference between pure .htm pages and maipulated php-htm pages.

As far as loosing sleep over this, I can't relate, because I don't sleep a whole lot, that other guy is always waiting to take your spot should you slow down.

Yahoo! is better, no Google is the best, no MSN is okay, this has been discussed over and over here at DP, it is simply a matter of opinion.

Traffic is traffic, period, if you are getting traffic from MSN, don't look a gift horse in the mouth.

I swear that MSN literally just picks their rankings out of a hat... does anyone know when their new search algorithm is due out?

They just admitted the the amount of time that surfers spend on a site is a factor, so they must be tracking time, but I am not even aware of an msn toolbar...download one, if it exists, and spend a long amount of time on each page, and see if anything changes...
