What is the problem ?

I wonder why after a directory rejects an website,the websites can not be added later .i mean,if i remove the problems,and add it again,i should be able to do that .but,when i try to add it again i get "website already in the category" .but,it is not there
maybe some directory webmasters can help

Sounds more like the problem is with a specific directory. Probably need to ask them. There isnt a generic fix for company-specific issue.

means site is added, but waiting for approval. so you can't add again

 

Are you using the search function of the directory to see if your site exists there?

 

Or in your case it has been reviewed and rejected but remains in the database for a future review. You need to contact the directory.

The submission is in que to be reviewed - thus not active for display on the site yet but still flagged as a duplicate submission because it is in the database.

Or it could have been rejected but not deleted from the database when reviewed.

If the site remains in the database whether active or inactive and the directory is set to not allow for duplicate submissions of the same urls you will get that notification.

 

It's rare, but when the site owner really ticked me off with their submission I place it in the "suspended" category so I can document why I didn't accept. When it's a huge miss, I delete without prejudice.

Perhaps, some of the others are doing something similar?

 

This is the default setting in many script. I think in php directory we do have the option to mask.

I have a newly Web Directory site: http://www.wwebdirectory.com/

After launching this site, I decided to submit this directory to different directory site.

And last 5 month, My team submitted more than 3500 Directory. About 10 member of my team are always working in this site related. They submitting the site to different directory and checking the link that we are getting and also a team of programmer working for upgrading the site.

But when my team start to submit other directory, I saw that most of directory owner did not care their site. Sometimes, they allow same link two times or 3 times. Sometimes, my man submit in wrong category, they approve them with opening our site or checking our site.
The most important thing, is that few site, just reject our without any reason, (Sorry they mentioned a reason that we did not follow their guideline). May be some reason correct but almost 90% owner did not check the site, they just reject us without any proper reason.
Some directory owner directly informed us "because of huge free submission we delete all our pending list" . This is really really unacceptable,
if they reject any site for this reason, than they should not continue the directory.

Overall, I think, most of directory owners are not taking any care about their site. They are just trying earning money or reputation. Nothing else.

This is my opinion, this opinion may have wrong, please take this opinion easy.

It in all your directories or only in certain. Probably they have one base simply.

I'm guessing this is happening to you only in submissions to free directories. If so, just move on and don't give it another thought. There are thousands more free directories out there.

Try to submit this Directory another time, or possibly under a different IP if you've submitted several sites to this directory
