Do NOT use Host Gator, use Host Rocket if you want bandwidth, Host Rocket is what everyone on vbulletin.com recommended and I've used them in the past, well worth it.

Hostgator is the best! great support ,and good servers.but,if you have lots of traffic,i don't know if shared hosting will support it.but i can tell you, they support over 30000 unique visitor/day -that mean for me over 100000 pages daily .so,it's good

no,they won't .you can have more then that. they will suspend you if you use more then 25% of the server for a few hours .but,if you don't reach that, and don't use the server for that long time ,it's ok.they will send you a message when you reach that

No they do not offer unlimmited they block any kind of site that takes up alot of space (aka file sharing ect)
I think it is disethical to hide behind cliams in your TOS

Before signing up, you should read the terms of service ofcourse. They clearly say that file sharing, image hosting and warez isn't allowed on their servers. It's normal that clients who don't obey the rules get punished for that ;)

Ive heard they have sensitive CPU restrictions and will lock your account up without blinking an eye.

In my opinion, if you want to have cheap and good you will have to buy them both!

When it comes to web hosting you can have cheap 8 dollar package, which provides basic services and features.
Well, that could be sufficient for your needs.

But if you need anything special like the opportunity to choose operating platform, possibility to master and monitor all operations, and capability to keep up high traffic etc. go with virtual private serve or dedicated one.

    That's it, that's all!

How much bandwidth do you use per month. I might have a cheaper plan for you.

it depends actually, modern web hosting right now are more sensitive to CPU usage than bandwidth or space, so if your site utilized lots of cpu, like, maybe wordpress with thousands of UVs, i think it might be better for you to get a VPS.
