Domain Buy and Sell

Is there anyone here buying and selling domains at sedo?

Recently, one of my old domains was sold through Sedo for $1380 through a friend from namepros who posted my domain under his account. My account is not yet verified so I asked him to do it...

I have around 95 domains and most of them were registered on 2002 to 2004. The domain that I sold was not included in the list for I just registered it 9 months ago.

I am planning to sell some of my old domains in Sedo as soon as my account is verified and I am excited for the big return of my domains...

Anyone here doing this business and how is the outcome?

5 of my domains are expected to get sold between $15 to $20K each... I did never discovered this until one of my site visitors offered me to buy one of my domains for $5200...

I am paying around $500 for all of these domains every year and making around $300 per month on domain hosting ads... Nopw I am planning to turm these domains into fortune.. and still registering new top level domains...

    What do you think?

Domains selling could be profitable business if you know how to get good domains and sell them later. Frankly speaking, there is the only rule - "buy low, sell high".

The highest price we have paid for one of domain names was $20.000...

If you can make a profit I guess thats democracy but to me its like putting on a beach towel on a chair by the pool when you never intend to use it.

Yes that is the smart move buy low sell high.
But i don't think its worth for you coz you keep the domain from 2002 to 2009 which mean you missed the money that can be earned from the domain during the 7 years.

verify the sedo account first :)

when you add your domain to sedo market you will get more exposure and auction to your domains

I got verified account just yesterday and sold 1 domain right away for $850... I still have a lot of short domains.. probably around 98 and I am thinking of selling most of them.. total domain portfolio I think would sell around 60K if sold individually..

Good work OP - seems like you made some smart buys along time ago and will soon reap the profit rewards

You must have invested quite a sum of money to buy them all in the first place but?

Its big business if you have the right keyword domains - some of the big name richest people online started out marking money by selling virtual real estate

One problem i always had with the concept was if you did not have large amounts of money to invest in keyword domains or very short ones then it was hard to know if you bought something else whether it would increase in value and what it would be worth when selling it....... The worth is only what someone is willing to pay with could be far away from your own prediction so its not an exact market like the buying and selling of other real world physical objects.

Honestly, I acquired these domains when I was earning decent amount investing on HYIPs.. that was 2003.. I predicted that HYIps will gone soon so I invested those income to domains... I spent couple of thousands with domains

    You mean"my domains"?

I'm sorry but it's top secret considering that I am not selling them until maybe 2 to 3 years from now..
