Seriously, I'm sick of G. Those puss* there tell us to get natural links, and our rankings will increase naturally. But tell you what, I've been getting dozens of 100% natural links monthly for a certain website, and the rankings for all my main keywords get lower every day. And I'm talking about REAL natural links, ones that I didn't even ask for, just got them because people liked my website. On the other hand, when I used to get like artificial links for a certain other website, my rankings were doing pretty well, and those losers at G couldn't ever tell the links weren't natural. Screw Google, I better be happy with my traffic from referrers.
Your website should get more backlinks from different websites not only one or two. And, you can not see the effects of the backlinks in a short time. Sometimes, you have wait for 3-6 months.
I have the same problem. I am almost sure that problem comes from anchor text used in link building. If you use similar anchor to point similar pages and you surpass one report, your anchors to that page decrease in power or you can be detect as spammer.
I think you're not looking at the big picture... There is more than just your website in the niche. Others could be getting more links and building more content which is moving them up the SERP's faster than your site. Plus, G has been adding some tweaks to the code which make authority domains ranked higher, etc.... Keep those links coming and you'll see the results.... In only makes sense in terms of ranking a website.
Link building and other seo techniques applied for a website does not take effect immediately. Lot of times Google take some time to update the SERP ranks over the datacenters. I am sure over time you would see positive changes. How long its been for you?
it takes lots of time..also,dont focus solely on google..you have to think that there will be some kind of competition eventually
Counting on free google traffic to make money is a bad business plan. Even if you eventually rank well for a valuable keyword, it could all go away with a change in the algorithm. You should think of a way to monetize your website in a way that you can profitably afford to buy traffic from many different sources (like making your own product or digital product).
is it the site in your footer? Then I think addlink was talking about this: http://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/search?p=http://www.attorneycar.com/&bwm=i&bwmo=d&bwmf=u
I wonder why you even care what Google thinks about your links if you have enough referrer traffic. There could have been a ton of things that could have caused the drop in rankings, and I seriously doubt that it has anything to do with the natural/unnatural business.
It depends on the time period which you have been gaining these natural links. Were they all achieved in a short time period and now the consistency of gaining these links has dropped? I am sure gaining links is the correct way to go and sometimes it can be a waiting game with google, possibly a year before you get what some of us believe we deserve in the SERPS. Keep at it but also do explore other methods, rather than solely google, like you say.
I have visited the site in your signature and found the PR is 0 and only 150 backlinks until now. This is totally no enough for any keywords to rank higher in SERP of Google. You should get more backlinks with your keywords in the anchor text for your site, no matter naturally or manually.
It might be because the links which you are building has no relevant value and your site is getting Sandbox penalty.
wrong wrong wrong did you bother to check if those links had any links pointing to them? for all you know there could be 500 links pointing to a page with 1 link to the original site dont EVER just think more links is more ranks. i have sites ranking for top keywords with minimal links
I'm thinking that could be the case. Maybe they are thinking the links were spam. Like 2 months adding up consistently from now. I really agree with you. Relying on SE traffic just is not a decent business plan. Hell no, this is just a test website.
