looking for suggestions on the best shopping cart for my customers. I have a few mandatory things. 1. Need 1 step check out, don't want to go to shopping cart first, just check out page. 2. must have build in auto responders. 3. must have a robust discount program,(ex. where i can discount 1 group of products but not another set, with out coupon) And low cost, no $2500 products. Decent support is also a must. not sure if it matters, joomla 1.0, go daddy hosting. Authorize.net looking forward to your answers wta stacey
check out this page. it has a good run down of the pros and cons of each shopping cart. http://www.itwebexperts.com/oscommerce_zencart_xcart_comparison.php
If you're using cPanel there are a lot of free options in Fantastico. From my experience they have all been decent and they meet all your requirements. If I were you I would try OSCOMMERCE.
If I may chuck in my 2cents, zencart and cubecart have always been winners for me, and if you are handy with .php then you can change it to how you want it to work, in regards to your original requirements (I have had similar setup with similar requirements to you). If you cant, I GUARANTEE the DP has a programmer that can (Myself Included) Regards Joshua
You can use oscommerce, magneto, joomla, drupal etc. Dont go with godaddy shopping it does not have that many options to make it look pretty. It looks basic. For your specific requirement why dont you hire a web developer who will write codes in php and mysql to fulfill your requirement?. You can email me at admin@bestwebsitesdesigner.com if you need any help. Thanks
have take a look at OpenCart, it's better, easy to use and stronger than magneto IMO. and it's also completely free of charge. http://www.opencart.com
I began this project using virtuemart, which i was not a big fan of at all and found it hard to change things without paying someone. i found that third party software was just easier to use plus much cheaper in the long run, since support is built into the system. lookng for third party software only. thank you
I would definitely suggest Magento, it's free, supports PayPal, Google Checkout, Authorize.net and is the best eCommerce suite we've used. We run 2 stores on Magento and have no complaints about it.
You want free CMS or you want to buy? if you want to buy i can sell you one for a half price (125 instead almost 300)...and i will give you access to admin pages before...
I use Zencart and osCommerce, and Magento Commerce - osCommerce has lot's of free contributions which help enable you to develop a very custom site, keeping in mind it does have many limitations which I won't go into. Zen Cart is a hybrid of osCommerce that includes many of the most popular contributions/functionality preinstalled and it is pretty stable. But contributions for zencart are few in comparison to osCommerce. Magento Commerce is in my opinion, by far the best and most well developed free shopping cart system available today with many great contributions and lots of updates by the developers. I would recommend researching Magento Commerce. Each cart system has it's own draw backs, but in my opinion Magento leads the pack when it comes to functionality, customization, contributions, development and promise.
oscommerce ofcourse, with osc you can do almost anything you want, because they are very many addon and support
I would suggest CS-cart (since i have been using it for a year now). Costs around 265 US$ for a single license. Has everything that you mentioned but not sure what kind of auto responders (for what events) you are looking at. You and your customer would get emails whenever a order is processed although there are other and order status that you can set. I can say totally customizable and the front end themes of the cart are excellent. The 1 page checkout has been done very well.
you may want to try a unique shopping cart supporting digital and physical products which support multiple vendors. Can be used to create virtual mall, drop shipping business or aggregate business like amazon.com
If you would like to explore this question in details, then i would recommend you to review the sites with shopping cart reviews like http://www.hotscripts.com/category/php/scripts-programs/e-commerce/shopping-carts/ you can find more in internet...
