    Philip,
Google has quite a few videos that you should watch first. Then read the posts here in DP. Learn as much as you can and understand limits. Don't try to cheat the system.

Place the adsense ads directly below the first post. I have heard that this technique will get you the most clicks. I have done this on my forum. See my sig.

Forum is the hardest to gain revenue. But in other aspect, it creates a lot of traffics. Traffics that don't click ad very ofthen. Unless you have niche forum...

    Philip,
NO, I am not accusing you of cheating :) I guess I worded my response incorrectly. I was just saying to make as a general rule to play by the rules and you should be ok.

Someone had best removed either the yahoo or the adsense ads on their forums.
Read the TOS for google adsense, does not allow other contextual ads on the same page as adsense.
This can get your adsense account either disabled or banned.

Just a friendly reminder...do this now! Before google finds out.

    1) Use multiple ad palette's.

    2) Place the ad unit at the end of first post & the second unit before the quick reply or post reply button.

    3) Use text link ad units under the menu.

    4) Keep changing ad positions to avoid any possible banner blindness.

    5) Optimize your titles, keywords & description. A better idea is to use topic titles in the keyword and description.

    6) For the forum category pages: Place the ad code right under the post new topic button.

    7) Play by the rules.

Thats it for now. Best of luck!
