Not sure if this is the write section...

I had this domain registered in Godaddy, which I earlier forwarded to a page (clickbank sales page to be more precise)....

Now after a couple of days, I designed a good looking wordpress landing page for that product and hosted it on a famous host.
I then went on to update the Nameserver setting at godaddy for that particular domain. I also turned off the "domain forwarding".

After all this completed successfully, I tried to go to that domain.....it is still showing the old forwarded page.....even after 24 hours !!

The story does not end here !!

I then tried to clear my cache, history etc., and tried to open the same domain....again the old page came up.

I then again tried to clear stuff, and now tried it to open the same domain through a PROXY.....and guess what !!...the wordpress page is opening !!

Now what could be the problem !!

the new updated page is opening through a proxy site, but not through my original connection ....

I tried clearing all my history/cache/cookies.....with both firefox and IE.....
    same problem.....

Could anyone solve this problem of mine !!

    thanks,

    sometimes something like this happens.
it happened to me last time. more than 24 hours.

    just wait and be patient.

probably it's your ISP problem. your ISP still caching the old nameservers and haven't update it.

otherise try this method (if you are in windows) via command line

    ipconfig /displaydns
    ipconfig /flushdns

    Code (markup):

You could use a better DNS service if your ISP is keeping the cache to long. I use and recommend using OpenDNS name servers, they are quick to update, and latency is very low:

DNS Caching, not much you can do about it besides switching to better DNS such as suggested by RHS-Chris.

This won't do any good if it's their ISP that is caching the result :)
