What is varified PayPal? Added Bank account or Added Credit Card!

I recently added and approved my bank account to PayPal and now when I login I see my account to be Non-US Verified. I have not added any credit card yet.

Still I cant do most of the purchases with my PayPal balance. Why is it so ?
Does I need to add a credit card Also to get verified?

 

It depends what country are you in. If you are from US, UK and add bank account, it is consider verified in paypal. But if you are not from above country then you have to attach credit card to become verified.

 

Nope,You can use debit card to verify your paypal,as long as you are not from India...

 

But why my account status shows Verified ?

This is not a question of Debit Card OR Credit Card.
And yes, I am from India, why?

 

You are VERIFIED but you are not in the US hence the world NON-US.

If I am verified, when why cant I shop using my PayPal account. When I try, it asks for credit card, while I have sufficient balance.

 

I think there is a setting in your PayPal account that you can change so that your 'primary funding source' is your PayPal balance, but because of the layout change I can't find it. Try contacting PayPal support or use their help files.

 

Primary funding source will automatically be paypal balance when you have no other funding source.

 

It sounds like the OP has already added another funding source so it may default to that other funding source.
