Many of you people here on DP do really believe Adsense is a money-paradise and cash will flow in easily. That is not the case. Those who have succeeded have worked very hard and persevered over a period of time, usually years. They may pretend they can relax now, but they have probably slaved away at their sites over the years. Dedication is everything. That is my message. Don't give up, don't hesitate, just do the work and repeat a million of times if that is what it takes.
Very wise words. When people post saying they earn thousands of dollars a month (and are telling the truth), take a look at the date they joined the forum to the top right of their post. You won't see too many 2009s there.
Those who have succeeded figure out how the program works and what is effective. Dedication doesn't mean anything if you don't understand how to leverage the program. I make a lot of money with Adsense... I set things up right the first time then I move on. It doesn't take a lot of time or "Dedication". You simply have to figure out how to do things right the first time. I read so many times people saying all you have to do is keep trying. That clearly is a model doomed for failure. You have to figure it out... until you do you can try all you want and it doesn't mean anything.
You are somehow right BUT on the other hand i think the most common mistake people do is they don't WAIT. You must wait. And try. A year or two. Most people leave adsense in 2-3 months, after they fail.
I think a lot of people get into adsense thinking they'll slap up a blog and put adsense on it and the money will start pouring in, and then after a couple of months and this doesn't happen they get depressed and quit - or worse, they try some blackhat link scheme and get banned for life. It takes both dedication and research to succeed in adsense. I've been at it for a few months now, writing content every day for several blogs, and I'm just starting to see the results. I have to admit there were a few points were I was quite discouraged during the first couple of months, but if you keep working hard, keep doing keyword research, keep learning about SEO, then you should do well (as long as you don't get banned ).
Yes.. I need 12 month to got my niche on first page google I need 14 month to got my first Payment issued I need 18 month to get stable monthly earning.. and i can relax now..
I completly agree about the need to be dedicated when it comes to generating earnings on adsense. If it was easy everyone would do it, but the fact it that it takes time and committment to build a site that people will keep returning to
Ye lightlysalted, that is something that I really like about this. Everyone wish to believe it's easy like fuck, when it's not. When they face the moment of truth and realize it's actually hard they will feel so disappointed and probably leave this game - less competitors for us dedicated workers, right?
That's right, but new competitors alway pop up so you constantly have a newbie trying their hand at adsense. It's just like Ebay where you have these people selling products on ebay and think they have to undercut everyone to do any business, then they realize that the fees are much higher than what they are making in profit and go away after 2-3 months. But then here comes another newbie doing the same thing right after them, this is why I pulled out of Ebay because not only was this happening but Ebay raised their final value fees and made it hard for anyone without a completely unique product to make any money. I think the only true way to make money on Adsense is through good SEO and gaining good organic rankings...just my thoughts, I may be wrong.
I was one of those thinking it was easy but found out shortly after it is something that takes time and requires a lot of dedication.
James,Jontish, strong words, it is true, nobody here gets anything for free, and anyone says they did is lying, its all about hard work.
Without work, good SEO and research - Adsense is just a dream. You must spent some months to see the results but the reward is awesome.
I think that the problem is that many people who start up on Adsense get sucked in by "get rich quick" schemes and ebooks which are just worthless. They spend more money trying to get their website earning and finally get frustrated with all the promises and no results. It takes time. It is possible. And yes, it requires dedication, hard work and a lot of patience.
Hello, Thanks so much for those encouraging words, right now i am making about $100 a month from my site with a very hard labour, i try to build some other sites but to my surprise they are not performing like this my first site, sometimes for week even months no click will come from them, i am still trying to figure out what may be wrong with them
