Girly myspace resource site - Revenue and taffic!

Discussion in 'Sites' started by some guy, Aug 12, 2006.

    Domain: Prettygirlyspace.com
Registered at namecheap with about a year left.

    Description:
I'm selling www.prettygirlyspace.com due to major issues I'm having. You do not get a lisence to it, which means you will need to buy that yourself if you want support on the forums. The site was targeted to girls, so it's customized to appeal their eyes.

    What you get:
You get the domain www.prettygirlyspace.com, content, traffic, revenue, and myspace account. Customized layout aswell.

    Stats:
    http://www.imgjump.com/uploads/4195prettigi stats.JPG
Also gets a few clicks on adsense and has made $1-3 so far this month.

    Starting bid: $40
    BIN: $200

In addition, I lost an index file which used to hold a lot of customizations and I'm recreating it as we speek (to show advertisements on index).

This is not only a legitimate copy of my script, but it is incomplete. Purchasing this site does not get you any content nor will it get you a license or access the support forums. I should also note that this copy of the script presents its ads in a way that violates Google's TOS and has been reported.

I would like to reiterate that he does not have the code to recreate the index file and will only be pulling and copying someone else's static index page.

I gave your chance Ruben. I do not take kindly to being lied to and you leave me no choice.

What are you trying to do sir? I talked and I stated in my first post that you don't get a lisence whatsoever! I'm taking my site down and will provide the new owner the backup so that he can use once he buys he's own lisence. Please don't take me the wrong way sir, I beg of you.

You just don't get it do you. You don't OWN the content you're trying to sell. You can't give it to the new owner, because it's not yours to give so they "can use once he buys he's own lisence".

It just doesn't work that way. I gave you a chance to handle things differently and you chose the hard way. This is of your own doing, not mine.

You are selling an unlicensed copy of a script, are you an idiot or what is your problem? What is so hard to understand here?

If I understood correctly, he's basically telling the new owner to buy the site, then purchase the script seperately. It's still not the way it should be done though.

I recently just gave up on outing scammers. Especially since they are all flooding over here running from sitepoint's charges :D

Just look at all the sites on the front page. Either scams or crap made-to-sell pump and dump sites people point their myspace bulletins at for a few days and claim they're making $20 a day as monthly revenue.

DP needs to be built on quality, not quantity. (agreeing with those who hold scammers accountable)

I think the general policy on DP is not to interfere out of fear the resources to properly intervene don't exist.

I for one would be more than happy to help police this section of the forums for free. I do it anyway, I might as well be able to thwart scammers properly.

fryman, as far as i remember, you called me a scumbag http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=78201 once when i kept on insisting your friend edpudol/pinoito was scamming ppl.
Never the less, I didn't stop, here is the latest http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=122812
This guy keeps on saying 'current offer is' in all his threads and im sure he's making it up. He also sells turnkeys saying they are unique.
Im sure most of his sales are a result of tricking ppl into thinking his sites are unique and from SHILL BIDDING he does saying he has offers.

In my opinion, DP should make some house cleaning once and for all to prevent such wannabes from preventing this community from being a better place.
Then maybe we can stop worrying too much about them and trying to expose them everyday.

Lol, Legend, I didn't call you that, I was talking about that idiot Pinyoto (AKA Edupol), he sells all kind of junk sites full of articles and doesn't give credit to the authors, and then in that thread he was selling a script that he stole.

I don't have friends that are rats, that moron is not my friend.

Oh, for a moment I thought you were trying to excuse his actions :D Nice to hear we're on the same boat.
I did have the same misunderstanding over that thread with greg but I guess things move on.

My main concern now is the latest thread i refered to, it makes me wonder how many felt for the shill bidding he did over this time (not even mentionning the unique/turnkey scam he pulled for a long time, and sadly, even one of the most reputed members here, honey, was a victim).

    Cheers
