Hey everyone, Been looking at setting up some incentive sites like the old days, Basics will be set up something along the lines of the old freepay model ( free items, not a point or cash based model...) Really wondering if it is even worth the effort any longer -- MY Thoughts ---- It seems really really hard to find networks that will even deal with incentive based sites any longer ? --- Based on the above realization from my research over the last several days, I can only assume that a lot of work will be required to even find offers if there are networks that still offer them. --- # amount that can be earned from each offer may in fact be very little --- # I see it being possible that both the number of networks offering incentive (non cash) based sites will continue to decrease as will the amount earned per completed offer... ----------------------------------------------- Just wondering what people think, is this model totally dead and a complete waste of time or is there still some value in fighting it out ?? Thanks for your input in advance
The concept is they will continue to decrease, only because the quality of traffic is poor. However, if you can provide quality traffic then you'll likely make it bigger. Bottom line, incentives are good. Many just try to work with those who accept incentives. In reality, if you work individually with each affiliate, you can likely get those who don't accept incentives, to accept incentives. My take... its still a good model, however, it takes more work then what people used to think.
You have to focus on two things when you run an incentive website. Fraud and Quality. There are many scammers out there that use fake information and stolen/prepaid credit cards to complete the campaigns. Then again there are legit users who sign up for the trials and cancel them right after, which is poor quality. My incentive websites are still profitable and I'm doing just fine. There are many networks that accept incentive publishers, PM me if you want some. There are offers that still payout a good amount. Email submits from $1-$2 and trial offers from $10-$30. You need to find a way to drive traffic to your website, that will probably be the hardest challenge for any new incentive website. I agree with you right here. This isn't easy, it's not a get rich quick scheme. Many people think they can easily bank off incentive marketing, but it honestly requires a lot of research and work. Don't expect to be the next freepay over night, or even over years.
