Hi guys, I know that baldness is one of the charactristics of manhood. Many men just live with it, they shave all the head and they may even look better. But anyway some men like me do not like to be bald and they try to fight against baldness. I started to lose my hair almost 10 years ago when I was 19. Since that time, I tried differnet solutions like taking Minoxidil (Rogain) and Propecia. They did not work well to me so I decided to prepare myself for a hair restoration surgery. I did it around 8 months ago and now after 8 months I have gotten a nice result. However, I need another surgery to add more density. This was sucessful to me so I decided to open a thread about it here and share the information with the guys who are interested in such thing. I will put some pictures of my baldness and some pictures after the surgery. And 8 months after the surgery: (these pictures were taken yesterday)
Wow! Certainly makes you look younger. Baldness does not run in my family, but I would sure do the same process you did.
nice results - thats a good head of hair, im jealous thanks for sharing I started getting thinning hair when i was in my very early twenties Now in my mid twenties it just gets worst with time In my case its genetics I have not tried much to fix it - dont have the extra money to spend on products or surgery I just shave it and keep it short so its less obvious - accepted its going to happen like aging My face sort of suits having shaved hair so im not that fussed
The surgery is not painful at all. You cannot feel anything. Remember there are two types of hair restoration surgery, one is FIT (which is not really a surgery) and the other one is FUT, in FUT they take one strip of your skin from the back of your head and they move it to the frond side of your hair. As you can see in my photo you can get a good result by FUT. However, you will feel a little pain (not that much) in the first night of the surgery. You can simply tolerate it by taking some pacifier drugs. The costs depends on the country you are living. In my country Iran you can do it for only $2000. And the quality of this operation is great. I know many people who have come to Iran for this surgery and they are all satisfied. Feel free to ask any other question.
The reason of hair loss in almost all men is genetic. like mine! but as you have noticed even completely bald men have hair at the back side of their head (donor area). When they transfer hair from the back to the front, it will save the characteristics of the hair in the back of the head, and it will be resistant to male hormones. So the transfered hair will not be shed over time.
Congrats for the result! My dad is bald, thankfully i don't have his genes. My bro might probably go bald because eve tho his young his hair is not very dense.
I nearly forgot. Was the surgery expensive? How much will it have cost you in total after you do the second surgery?
So you only need to have the surgery once? That's pretty impressive. I've always been sceptical of hair replacement surgery, but I've gotta say that it looks pretty good. I was trying to work out who you look like. Then it hit me... Marcos Baghdatis
My forehead started receding but I don't care about becoming bald in the years to come. Just be prepared to welcome it
lol! only his nose and beard look alike mine! I have better lips and eyes I guess :d I wish I had his hair. By the way, How do you find the look alikes?
good for you i'm going bold soon, it's in my family, but i really don't mind it, in fact i don't care a lot about it
Yes, the best thing is not to care about it and save your money. but I want to go for the second surgery anyway
I use Rogaine and Propecia when I noticed my hair was thinning - and realized hereditary was kicking in, I hope they hold up.
It will take a long time to get result from Minoxidil and Propecia. However, most of the time, they just prevent loosing more hair, in some cases you can observe new hair.
