    continue building backlinks and posting content regularly, daily if possible.

    My other suggestion would be to submit a sitemap to google, and make sure to pink your site daily too.

    If you are putting fresh content on your site regularly your site will be crawled daily(might be possible). But if you have copied content then good number of backlinks can't help you.

    To change crawl rate, this is also one of the method ( this is for google)

    1. Submit your site in google.com/webmasters
    2. Then click "Site configuration"
    3. Click "Settings"

    There you can change crawl rate
