Need Help!! Where can I upload my main domain files using ftp in my Cpanel?

    Since I am new to Cpanel. I need help where can I upload my main domain files using FTP? And can I also change the path of my main domain? Pls. need help asap.. Thanks..

    You would need to create the account for your main domain in cPanel first, that would create the ftp account for you to upload your domains files. By default, accounts are created under the /home directory.

    You would want to upload your files to the "public_html" folder when you login via FTP.

    You can ask your host to change it, but I don't see why you would do it, it's pretty easy to manage within cPanel.

    Thanks for the reply for the 2 of you.

    I upload all my files in /home directory and now it is ok..

    I have one more question, Why if I create a folder or edit my php file using FTP, the edited files or created folder didn't update immediately(ex. I created a folder in /home dir, but after that it didn't view immediately when I go to mysite.com/folder)

    This may be a result of an incomplete upload. Check for .* files like .pureftpd-upload.* etc..

    If you're using SmartFTP, you have to explicitly change the setting to upload on save.

    Not sure about CuteFTP. You may want to edit your files from a Control Panel, or via SSH text editor.
