English has basically one word to express "I love biscuits", "I love my parents", "love my friends".

I learnt Greek has four words:
    1. One expressing affection. It can bu used for a dog or a child.
    2. Eros
    3. Friendship
    4. God's unconditional love (agape) for those who are not lovable from themselves.

"The 5 languages of love" explain yet another concept.

What do you mean when you use the word "love"?

Love is an emotion created due to your amygdala and other brain regions - it's good feeling but it's too easy to get your life messed up due to love

The word "love" can actually have a different meaning depending on the context. I can say that I "love" ice cream, but not exactly love it like I want to marry it. I can tell my family that I "love" them very much, but it would be a different kind of love from what you would have for your significant other. So we do use one word, but the meaning can change depending how we use it.
