Difference Between Social Bookmarking & Directory Submission

Can any one let me know what is the difference between the social bookmarking & directory submission?

See social bookmarking is where you can share the sites or blogs which you think are interesting and should be share with others. We can just share these sites by booking marking them in social bookmarking sites. You can also bookmark your own sites and blogs which could be listed publicly depends upon you.

Directory Submission are different from Social bookmarking here you submit your your sites according to their category and that is only use to get some backlinks and for visitors.

 

i think Social Book marking gives you instant traffic and need strong network for getting lots of traffic but directory submission take some time for indexing and it's also good for increassing traffic !!!

 

Make is simple, social bookmark submission is on the inner page or content but directory submission is just submit your URL

 

In social bookmarking you can submit story of your or submit something about your site...and you other activity on social bookmarking sites such as making friend, adding favorite and also give the comment any story...

But In directory submissions you submitted meta information of the site... Both having different users criteria.
