Well, I have had some amazing boosts recently in my serp results, with all the great advice I have gotten from a friend of mine who specializes in SEO and many of the folks here tips and tricks. My site was hovering around 90 to 100 for many keyword searches and it is not up to 7/8 in Google for my main keyword "lolita glasses". My question is, what do I need to do to move my links up to the top 1-5. Do i need to now buy an inordinate amount of quality links, keep building good links? How can I tell how many I need to get and how long does it take from the time you secure a few new links to see if it has given you a boost? Thanks all.
You can try focusing on High PR niche backlinks, High PR Edu and Gov backlinks, and also quality, keyword-rich, original content. That's really the basics of it. You must have a quality site, with original content, with high profile backlinks. You also need to make sure that your niche has a demand otherwise you will be limited in the amount of traffic you can reach. Hope this helps
well according to google.. quality, quantity and relevancy of links count toward site rankings.. but of course site content really makes a difference..
Its great that you have got such a nice position. Need to build more links that can give you top position.
You can too try to look where the backlinks of those who on top came from and try to get backlinks from them too.
Thanks all. One question that has kind of got me stumped is, how long does it take for new links to affect your position?? Let's say I scoop up 3-4 quality link sites with proper anchor text for my keywords, how long to see results in the SERP? a week or two? or months??
It all depends on where your links are coming from. My advice is to work at decent passe, you appear to be doing well don't ruin it by getting greedy.
<nods> thanks banless.. I'm going for mostly related site links, like 1 site link a week, 2 max. too much?
you should gets Quality Back links through Off Page Submission. Like Directory Submission, Related Link Exchange, Article Submission Social Media Optimization Press Release Submission Blog Posting and Blog Promotion Video Optimization Blog commenting Free Classified Submission Banner Exchange etc can gives you Google top 10 ranking fast.
Relevancy certainly plays a part. However it's not everything. For instance lets say you own a catering business and are doing a catering event for a high school, the high school puts a link to your webpage on their site. Most would say this wouldn't be relevant due, after all what do food catering and a high school have in common? Most links are beneficial, and at the end of the day googlebot is just a machine, and doesn't have the human capability of recognizing the relationship between all links, such as the aforementioned link. Links Links Links!
