I still find the simple google interface much easier, its one thing on the page, search, I want to search not get news and stuff, if thats what your talking about.

I actually wish that Yahoo would stop changing their homepage - haven't they learned that people tend to stick with something that they recognize rather than something new?

I tend to find the sidebar (finance, messenger, etc) popup quite annoying. When I DO read or glance at their home page I usually move my mouse pointer to the left so it's not in my sight.

Then BOOM! a pop up about half the page size pops up.

I love their sites, they just need a visionary direction, not a good looking woman as CEO who could care less about yahoo!s pace

I never visit their home page. the zooming in ads is the major problem. i just check my emails. unfortunately when it logs out I am taken to the main site. I quickly close it

I agree, yahoo is bombarded not only by advertisements but also their page does not have as user firendl;y of an interface than Google. Google keeps it simple and it seems to be paying off!

Good point, if they could only see it. They keep changing their homepage and I'm sure it would work better if they made it as simple as google is.

we're not searching for design .. we're searching for files/pages (Yahoo might provide it) and money (This is what I don't get as Asian people from Yahoo) ..

the question is how the results are given to you...

I prefer a clean presentation, no noise :)

I have Yahoo, they are looking very amateurish in their job, focusing on things not important (homepage redesign) instead to focus on usability, SE improvements, ecc
