    I just got a new laptop :D
    HP Pavilion 6700
    230gb HD
    4G DDR2
    Dual Core 2.0 ect

It also had Vista Ultimate & Linux Ubuntu.

On my PC i have Windows 7 operating system and its working very smoothly.
Should i keep Vista or should i Install Windows 7 on the laptop too?

Windows 7 runs faster than Windows Vista. So it is a no-brainer. Go for 7!

I would choose Windows 7 despite of many good reviews and I personally tested it myself.

Yes, go with Win7. Vista is 'slower' than Win7.

Wait for Windows 7. It's a little more CPU/RAM friendly and will be better for gaming.

7 from personal experience runs a lot more smoother than vista.

I'd like to highlight the fact that if you ever decide to upgrade to an ssd, 7 communicates with ssd's much more efficiently than vista. Of course 7 is in general more efficient than vista.

Go for Windows 7. Based on experience, Vista has a slow performance compared to Win 7.

Going for Windows 7 will be the right choice.
